Geerten Verheus was born in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
He acquired a BA in photography at the Gerrit Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam and a MA in Combined Media at Chelsea College of Art and Design in London.
He is now based in Berlin, Germany.
The focus of his work has evolved from photography and video through installation to sculpture and, more recently, painted work.
